Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets for Wyong

Wyong hosts the Magic Millions lead up meeting with the $200K 2YO Classic and the $150K Stakes for three and four year olds highlighting the card.

Best Bet

6. Royal Merchant
Wyong R4 (3.30pm)

Royal Merchant should be far too good for them here. The Maher/Eustace trained mare is a Group 1 winner earlier this year and should have no problem handling this field under set weights. For comparison, she has an official handicap rating of 106 and her closest rival is on 81. Blinkers go on for the first time and she should simply be too good for them.

Recommended Price: $1.80
Confidence Level: 5/5

More Racing Tips

2. Aunt Roberta
Wyong R2 (2.20pm)

Aunt Roberta looks over the odds. She was a big drifter in the betting first up at this track over a mile but stuck on well to get beaten just over a length. Expect her to improve tremendously in fitness here and take up the running, she has a great record over this track and trip and should prove hard to run down.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

1. Heika
Wyong R3 (2.55pm)

Heika was dreadfully disappointing last time out at Gosford but it’s worth noting that the race was run on heavy ground, the first time the gelding had been exposed to that kind of surface. Back on a firm surface, he can produce his best form like he did when winning first and second up in the country.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

2. Highness
Wyong R6 (4.40pm)

Highness looks the value in the Wyong Magic Millions race. The colt was spelled after a debut sixth in the Breeders Plate, where he finished sixth after enduring a tough run throughout. The colt looks to have improved from that and was an impressive trial winner at Newcastle a fortnight ago. Can win.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
