Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets for Sandown

Racing is back at Sandown on Wednesday with eight races. Our first selection is a stayer from the in-form Danny O’Brien stable.

Best Bet

4. Herrlich
Sandown R1 (12.25pm)

Herrlich looks to have the super form out of the three year olds in the first race. The gelding was a good winner two back at Geelong (in a solid form race) before leading them up and finishing back of midfield when dropping in trip at Flemington. Getting out to 2400m is ideal and he can control things from the front.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

8. Rumours Abound
Sandown R2 (1.00pm)

Albury visitor Rumours Abound is building a formidable record with four wins from seven career runs and can win again. The mare has plenty of early speed as she showed in her most recent win at Kembla in slick time. Look for her to lead and take plenty of catching.

Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

9. Kiko
Sandown R3 (1.35pm)

Kiko has been something of an underachiever through her career but since being kept to 1000m trips this prep she has been in career best form. She really has a brilliant turn of foot over this trip and it was almost enough to get over the top of the very smart Oak Hill last time. This race should unfold nicely for her.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

3. William Thomas
Sandown R8 (4.30pm)

William Thomas is an intriguing runner in this field. He has a bad habit of missing the start but has joined a new stable for this run so if they can somehow get him to jump then he will be right in this race, which is far and away the easiest he has contested for a long time. Each way.

Recommended Price: $11
Confidence Level: 3/5
