Oak Hill is a most promising horse from the Mike Moroney stable who looks well placed to make it back to back wins. There was a lot to like about his first up win in a hot three year old race and while he does take on the older horses, he gets an ideal draw in a race where the leaders should go flat out, and he should position to run over them late.

She’s A Con looks nice value here second up. The ex-Kiwi mare comes off a goof first up run here over 1300m in a race that has already produced a couple of subsequent winners. Unfortunately she hasn’t got much early speed which is the knock, but if things unfold she is absolutely capable of winning.

Once Calico Jack finds form he usually holds it and he made a welcome return to the winner’s stall at Casterton last time. He draws to get all the favours from barrier one, and with the claim for Celine Gaudray looks well placed. Will take a lot of running down.
