Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets for Sandown

Midweek metro racing comes from Sandown on Wednesday with the first race coming at 12.25pm. Our best bet comes from the Scott Cameron stable.

Best Bet

5. Elouyou
Sandown R8 (4.30pm)

Elouyou was terrific first up at Flemington, just being outsprinted late over the 1100m down the straight. It was a pointer to what should be another prosperous campaign for him and out to 1300m he is capable of sitting right on the speed if not leading. This is a handy race but he is a most promising type.

Recommended Price: $2.80
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

6. Husk
Sandown R1 (12.25pm)

Husk showed nice ability on debut in Sydney back in December, finishing third in what has turned out to be a strong field. Spelled since, the filly has trialled up well at Rosehill and the Hawkes team are excellent at placing their horses between states. Finds a winnable race here.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

8. Hard To Cross
Sandown R3 (1.35pm)

Hard To Cross is a real specialist on the Sandown Hillside with two of his three wins coming here. The Patrick Payne trained four year old was excellent first up at Flemington behind the subsequent stakes winner Poifect and this is easier. The gelding comes in nicely after the 3Kg claim for Ryan Houston.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

2. Inundation
Sandown R6 (3.20pm)

Inundation is a real talent but unfortunately the five year old has had more issues than Reader’s Digest. Nevertheless the gelding has been trialling up really nicely in readiness for this race. He does his best work fresh and if he recaptures his best form he is well and truly up to this.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5
