Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets for Sandown

Racing is back at Sandown on Wednesday for an eight race card. We’re keen on a runner from the in-form Waterhouse/Bott stable at nice odds.

Best Bet

5. Niance
Sandown R6 (5.25pm)

Ex-Kiwi mare Niance was super impressive on her Australian debut at Pakenham, taking a decent field and really putting them to the sword over 1000m. The Grahame Begg trained mare should only be improved for that effort and 1200m looks her optimum trip. Looks a pretty good thing.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

4. Invincible Beau
Sandown R1 (2.30pm)

With most of these on debut the race experience edge for Invincible Beau holds him in good stead. He ran well first up in Adelaide in a $200K race that looked to have some depth to it. From barrier one Mark Zahra should find the front and take plenty of catching.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

1. Blow In
Sandown R4 (4.15pm)

Loved the first run of Blow In for the new stable recently at Flemington. He wasn’t suited by the lack of tempo but knuckled down strongly late to run fourth over 1200m. Out to 1400m he is much better suited and while he has to give some weight to nice horses, the gelding has come up an attractive price.

Recommended Price: $4.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

10. Harvest Moon
Sandown R5 (4.50pm)

The Waterhouse/Bott stable is airborne at present and they can get another winner here with Harvest Moon. The filly was a real eye catcher closing off first up but second up and out in trip, expect her to be prominent in the run if not leading. Superbly bred being out of Oaks winner Pinot, she should take plenty of catching.

Recommended Price: $8.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
