Racing on Wednesday is at Sandown for a twilight meeting and the Ciaron Maher/David Eustace stable looks to have a strong hand, with three of our bets including our best.
Best Bet
Call Him Iggy was a brilliant debut winner at Seymour and looks capable of going on with it here. The Maher/Eustace trained four year old pushed forward and put a big margin on his rivals, running slick time in the process. From barrier 15 he will no doubt press forward again and should take all the catching.
Recommended Price: $2.80
Confidence Level: 4/5
More Racing Tips
Dream Reality is clearly the value here. The Redoute’s Choice filly from the Maher/Eustace stable has had two runs for two fourth placings and there has been some decent form come out of both races. She has the ability to race on speed and should get the right run in a race lacking depth.
Recommended Price: $9.00
Confidence Level: 3/5
Rock Artist is another worth a play at big odds. The gelding wasn’t beaten far first up over 1000m but over 1200m should be able to press forward and hopefully lead. If he can hold the front, he will take a lot of catching.
Recommended Price: $10
Confidence Level: 3/5
Running On Time was a big drifter in the market first up and ran accordingly at Pakenham but the mare made a big impression as an autumn three year old and is clearly capable of much better. Out to 1400m, expect her to sit on speed and bounce back to her best form.
Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
