Takeko had his work cut out dropping from 1200m back to 1000m at Moonee Valley but he still ran very well despite covering plenty of ground in the run. Getting out to 1200m again is ideal, despite the wide draw he can find the front here and will take an enormous amount of catching. The form out of his prior 1200m runs has worked out very strongly.

Good maiden this but I really liked the last jumpout of Rhia at Cranbourne and am happy to be on here. She covered ground throughout there but was terrific through the line over the 800m in fast time for the morning. She needs to bring that to a smart maiden but the booking of Craig Williams is a strong push and the Freedmans are lethal on their home track.

Very even race this and it will probably be the horse that gets the right run that wins it. Arden Green is a likely candidate on his home track. Recent form is sound enough for this contest and he has an on speed style and the right draw to use it.
