He comes off an unlucky third in the Metropolitan and even though he was some way off the quinella, both Land Legend and Zardozi acquitted themselves well in the Caulfield Cup so it looks a good formline heading into this. It’s good to see Modown drop in class a little after having done much of his racing out of his grade. It explains why his winning record perhaps isn’t as good as it should be for a horse of his talent.
