Best Bet

6. Till It's Over
Mount Gambier R3 (1:50pm)

Till It’s Over is a promising stayer in the making and strikes a highly winnable race here. She comes off an excellent third placing last start at the Bool in much tougher company and the form out of that race looks strong. The extra trip is ideal, Christine Puls can put her right on the speed and simply be too good.

Recommended Price: $2.60
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

5. Mastsuyker
Mount Gambier R1 (12:40pm)

Maatsuyker looks very hard to beat in the opener at the Mount. The gelding was unlucky first up at Penola (protested unsuccessfully) before running an excellent third against the pattern last time at Warrnambool over the carnival. This is a very winnable race.

Recommended Price: $2.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

4. Troll Peninsula
Randwick R4 (2:00pm)

Troll Peninsula was very heavily backed at his first Australian run but simply didn’t get through the Heavy 10 ground and was beaten a mile. The face he is backing up relatively quickly is a positive sign. On a firmer surface here he can improved drastically and this is a most winnable race.

Recommended Price: $5.50
Confidence Level: 3/5

4. Branders Rule
Ballarat R7 (3:55pm)

Branders Rule is far from the worst here at big odds. His first run for new trainer Henry Dwyer was an excellent fifth placing at the Warrnambool carnival, this race is no harder and if the breaks go his way from the good draw he should be right in it.

Recommended Price: $11/3.30
Confidence Level: 3/5

4. Wailua
Ballarat R8 (4:30pm)

Wailua was a touch disappointing last start at Pakenham but happy to forgive that run given he covered a lot of ground and was probably looking for 2000m. The Maher/Eustace trained gelding has won two of his four starts and has plenty of upside.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
