Track specialist Breasley is finally back home. From six starts at his local track, he’s won two and placed second at the other four. It’s no surprise he races so well here as his on pace style is highly suited. He showed he is back to his best form with a good second placing at Benalla last time out, he can build on that to win here.

This is a typically modest 2400m maiden but of the Robbie Laing pair I think Black Autumn is the value. He certainly comes out of the strongest form race, a pretty decent 2000m maiden at Pakenham behind a couple of handy ones ten days ago. Has to run the trip but I think he will.

Interesting that Mick Dee has come down to Mornington for just the one ride today and it’s on this Nicconi first starter for Grahame Begg. The colt has been jumping out well under very little pressure, but suspect he must have a decent engine under there. Worth a play at the odds.
