Racing Tips – Tuesday Best Bets for Coleraine

Located in the far west of Victoria, Coleraine is a tight turning track where on pace runners are greatly advantaged. Expect soft ground for racing on Tuesday.

Best Bet

7. Nijiko
Coleraine R3 (2:30pm)

Nijiko was sent out favourite on debut at Ballarat but ran into a pretty smart one in El Rocko who subsequently bolted in at Sandown in much tougher grade. She should only be improved for that run and strikes a very winnable race here. Suspect she will run favourite and the $4.00 in early markets is highly appealing.

Recommended Price: $2.70
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

1. Bazini
Coleraine R2 (2:00pm)

Bazini should be the clear favourite and much prefer him to Bear Arms who shares the top line of betting with him. Bear Arms is a pure wet tracker and unproven over this marathon trip. Bazini on the other hand drops in distance here and should race on speed.

Recommended Price: $2.00
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

5. The Rattlin' Bog
Coleraine R6 (4:00pm)

Ex-Kiwi The Rattlin’ Bog made a very good Australian debut over the unsuitable trip of 1200m. The gelding looked like he was going to drop out and run last at various points but kept rallying to finish third. The mile trip here is far more suitable and he should be right on the speed from barrier four.

Recommended Price: $3.20
Confidence Level: 4/5

1. Geraldine's Jewel
Coleraine R7 (4:30pm)

Breaking the on pace rule here but Geraldine’s Jewel is going well enough to overcome it. She has won both starts since joining the Maddie Raymond stable and that form is far superior to anything else here. A winner with 60.5Kg last start, she stays on the same weight and from barrier one Jake Duffy will save plenty of ground, he just needs to get the run at the right time and she should overpower them late.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5
