Liked the recent debut of Lang Park at Seymour. The gelding chased home the very talented Hedged on that occasion who acquitted himself well at Caulfield on Saturday at Group 3 level. The barrier here is a bit tricky but he looks a class above these if Billy Egan can have any luck from the draw.

Fly Lie is a progressive type that strikes a suitable race here. An impressive maiden winner at Geelong two starts back, he ventured to Seymour last time where he closed off nicely over a mile to just miss despite covering some ground in the run. This looks a winnable race for him and from barrier one he can hopefully position closer in the run.

The Last Judgment has snuck into this field as an emergency and can take it out. He’s the highest rated horse in the field off the back of a good debut win at Warrnambool two starts ago, and while he disappointed the next time out at Cranbourne, he did pull up with a slow recovery indicating some kind of issue. If he gets back to the debut form he’ll be awfully hard to beat in a thin race.
