Racing Tips – Tuesday Best Bets for Ballarat and Wagga

Yarra Valley - Expert Horse Racing Tips

Tuesday’s racing tips come from Ballarat in Victoria and Wagga Wagga in New South Wales. Ballarat is soft with light rain expected while Wagga is good, but expecting a shower or two later in the day.

Best Bet

Ballarat 2/8 Palani (2:00pm)

Palani put the writing on the wall with a fast finishing second last time out at this track. In a driving finish, the Danny O’Brien trained three year old was just nosed out by La Messager, with a big margin to third. This is one of just three rides that Damian Lane has today and it looks the pick of them.
Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

Wagga 1/1 Albert The Cat (1:50pm)

Albert The Cat was far from disgraced in the Country Championship Qualifier last start and will relish the drop in class here. In a race where not many made ground, he did well to run on from the back and finish seventh. Look for him to get back again and finish off hard.
Recommended Price: $10/3.30
Confidence Level: 3/5

Ballarat 3/2 Cartesan (2:30pm)

The record of the Maher/Eustace stable in middle distance and staying races is remarkable and while Cartesan is a fair way from the top tier of horses in that yard, he looks capable of running a race here at good odds. The Irish bred gelding should relish the 2000m today and while he has drawn wide, Ben Allen is riding in terrific form.
Recommended Price: $10/3.30
Confidence Level: 3/5

Wagga 7/7 Wilful Spirit (5:30pm)

Wilful Spirit led everywhere bar the winning post first up at this track and looks primed to go one better. The Mark Gee trained mare should have no problems finding the front from barrier two and in a modest maiden, should get her chance.
Recommended Price: $3.30
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
