Racing Tips – Tuesday Best Bets for Ballarat and Hawkesbury

Yarra Valley - Expert Horse Racing Tips

Tuesday’s racing sees high quality meetings at Ballarat in Victoria and Hawkesbury in New South Wales. Ballarat should be perfect for racing while Hawkesbury looks set to be wet once again.

Best Bet

Hawkesbury 3/7 Yggdrasil (4:55pm)

Tommy Berry is in outstanding form coming off a huge weekend of winners and he can carry that momentum at Hawkesbury on Tuesday. He takes the ride on this Chris Waller mare who comes out of a strong maiden and is bred to be a mudlark. Berry should put her in the prime position from barrier five and be too strong late.

More Racing Tips

Ballarat 1/1 Cannonball (1:30pm)

Cannonball has the race experience and that can prove decisive in the opener at Ballarat on Tuesday. From the Anthony and Sam Freedman stable which is having a good run with two year olds, it is Mark Zahra’s only ride of the day.

Recommended Price: $1.90
Confidence Level: 4/5

Ballarat 3/6 Maly Malt (2:30pm)

Maly Malt has some good form out of her first two races, placing fourth on debut at Werribee races before finishing third at Kilmore when last seen a little over a fortnight ago. The winner of that race, My Whisper, came out and won impressively at Sandown since. With favourite Elskling possibly giving away a head start, Maly Malt can take advantage.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Ballarat 7/6 Festivus (4:30pm)

John Allen doesn’t ride much for the McEvoy’s but they have a terrific record together this season, a 1 in 3 strike rate and 56% profit on turnover. Festivus is a likely type. He showed good ability prior to a spell but has since been gelded and jumped out nicely for this.

Recommended Price: $3.20
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
