Racing Tips – Thursday Best Bets for Seymour

Seymour - Horse Racing Tips

Racing on Thursday is from Seymour Racecourse, just north of Melbourne. With some rain forecast, we are doing the form for a soft track.

Best Bet

4. Paululu
Seymour R4 (1.30pm)

Paululu was game as Ned Kelly last start after a tough run when caught three wide without cover at Swan Hill. That came off the back of a very solid maiden win the start prior so the Patrick Payne trained four year is certainly holding his form well. From barrier one, he should get a much easier run in transit, but will just need a touch of luck late.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

3. Go Woody
Seymour R3 (1.00pm)

Go Woody was good first up at Sale over the 1400m and looks well suited stepping up to a mile. The gelding has been placed out to 2000m so to see him run a good race over the shorter trip is a positive sign for this prep. Jack Hill should press forward on him and take all the catching.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

1. Wanjiru
Seymour R10 (4.30pm)

Local galloper Wanjiru looks well placed here. The gelding drops back from a city class race last start where he acquitted himself well against better horses than he meets here. His prior form was ultra consistent in this grade. Ideally drawn, gets the claim, and likes soft ground. Plenty to like.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
