Shebrings Beauty was a certainty beaten on debut at Bairnsdale with a severe check around the home turn being the difference between winning and losing. The Matthew Smith trained filly should only be better for that experience and she strikes a harder, but nevertheless winnable race here.

Marxist struggled when stepping up in class to contest the Group 2 Sandown Guineas at the end of last prep but prior to that the filly had shown ample ability, not least with a ten length win at this track the start prior. Previous placings behind La Derriere and Magic Time read well also. She can be very competitive here first up.
