The rescheduled Magic Millions meeting will be held at the Gold Coast on Thursday. As of Wednesday, the track was still rated a Heavy 9, but it should improve.
Best Bet
While the meeting has been held back it still appears like the outside fence is going to be the superior ground. That can play into the hands of Ef Troop, particularly with the favourite Alpine Edge drawn inside. Craig Williams should sit on speed and from barrier 12, have no issues finding his way to the better ground. The seven year old won his most recent start on soft ground.

More Racing Tips
Sky Lab is the in-form horse leading into this year’s Subzero with close up finishes in group races at his last two runs. The pattern of the track should help as well – from barrier 17 he should have no problem getting to the outside and finishing over the top of them.
Recommended Price: $3.80

Empress of Wonder looks terrific value in an open edition of the Magic Millions 2YO Classic. The filly made up a stack of ground last start over 1000m and it was a performance that suggested she will be primed for a fast run contest over slightly further. She gets that here. Expect Chad Schofield to take her back in the run and hopefully run over them late.
Recommended Price: $10/3.00
Confidence Level: 3/5
The prospect of wet ground changes the complexion of this year’s Magic Millions Guineas as there are big queries over Yellow Brick, and especially Russian Conquest on wet ground. One runner who will handle it though is Hell I Am. The Hellbent three year old has won twice on heavy ground and has the class to win this.
Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 3/5
Me Me Lagarde is a locally trained mare who showed two starts ago how effective she can be racing on this track. Coming from near last, she swooped over her rivals to win storming away. Expect we see the best of her here given a map that will suit, and her best would be capable of winning.
Recommended Price: $6.00

Love Tap looks a good chance in the last. The wet ground really brings him into the race and 1400m fresh for him is really the ideal scenario, as he showed winning the greys race at Flemington over the carnival. Expect Tim Clark to position him midfield and be strong late.
