Racing Tips – Thursday Best Bets for Cranbourne and Hawkesbury

Cranbourne - Expert Horse Racing Tips

Thursday’s racing comes from Cranbourne Racecourse on the outer eastern edge of Melbourne. The track is rated soft with every chance of an upgrade to good. Up in NSW, the meeting at Hawkesbury will be on a good track.

Best Bet

1. There There
Hawkesbury R1 (12.50pm)

There There is knocking on the door to win a race and gets her chance here. She was only narrowly collared by a short priced favourite over this track and trip last start, and there is nothing of that calibre here. Jason Collett should take up the running from the wide draw and prove hard to run down.

Recommended Price: $2.30
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

1. Aussie Nation
Cranbourne R1 (1.30pm)

Trainer Annabel Neasham has sent this import down to Victoria off the back of a good debut run at Scone in Class 1 company, where he was beaten just over a length by a talented looking stablemate Cicada. Back in class, he should press forward from the wide draw with Jamie Kah up and take plenty of catching.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

5. Rouge Moulin
Cranbourne R4 (2.30pm)

Race of limited chances here and I like the chances of Rouge Moulin. I think he’s a pretty limited horse but he does map to get a pretty good run on the speed. The extra trip won’t hurt and in this sort of race it might just be enough.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

3. Egyptian Tycoon
Hawkesbury R8 (5.15pm)

Egyptian Tycoon was good first up at Gosford and can break through here second up. Unfortunately he was a step slowly away there and had to be ridden along, then came off the bit a long way from home. For all that, it was a good effort to be only beaten half a length. That was a very strong race as well, and a repeat of that effort would see Egyptian Tycoon very hard to beat here.

Recommended Price: $4.60
Confidence Level: 3/5
