Mitch Freedman’s stable has been on fire lately with three winners from his last seven runners and he can get another here with Fine Weather. The Night of Thunder four year old put the writing on the wall for his best ever campaign with a first up win at Swan Hill then was good again running third last time at this track. The extra trip suits now and this looks winnable.

Cateechee was a good thing beaten here last time when she did not get a crack at them in the straight. With even luck she would have breezed past them and while this looks to be a slightly stronger race, her previous form was excellent and she is actually better drawn out wide.

Pakenham 5/2 Sempriente (7:45pm)
Sempriente got into a speed battle first up then was crowded for room when fighting back in the straight. It was a forgive run and he showed last prep with good form around horses like Character that he is capable of much better.
