Racing Tips – Sunday Best Bets for Yarra Valley

Racing on Sunday is in the Yarra Valley, for Cup day. The track will be rated good.

Best Bet

8. Don't Hesitate
Yarra Valley R8 (5:35pm)

Don’t Hesitate has struck a rich vein of form and can win again. The Dan McCarthy trained gelding was good when second at Wangaratta last start, just getting caught by his stablemate late. The good barrier draw is critical, he should get the run of the race with plenty of speed on.

Recommended Price: $3.20
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

5. Trigeriffic
Yarra Valley R4 (3:05pm)

Trigeriffic comes out of a particularly strong BM64 at Pakenham last start and should find this a lot easier. Two of the placegetters ran really well at Moonee Valley yesterday. Expect Trigeriffic to be right up on the speed here, and coming back 100m in trip will suit as well.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

3. Desperado
Yarra Valley R6 (4:20pm)

Desperado comes off a disappointing last start effort at Moe but happy to forgive that is going back in trip didn’t suit. The Maher/Eustace trained ex-Kiwi has had a hurdle trial since and draws to get the run of the race.

Recommended Price: $4.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

1. Herman Hesse
Yarra Valley R7 (4:55pm)

Herman Hesse will win this if he brings his best form. Hopefully the stable choose to adopt the front running tactics that have been so successful for him in the past, as it is a track that suits front runners and there isn’t much obvious speed here. The gelding typically goes well on firm ground and should be ready to go second up.

Recommended Price: $4.60
Confidence Level: 3/5
