Serenade The Stars couldn’t have been more impressive breaking his jumping maiden at this track two weeks ago. That wasn’t a strong maiden but he put a gap on his rivals late. Annunciate and Wazuzu have claims but Serenade The Stars looks way over the odds.

Dr Dependable did plenty right on debut at Warrnambool last week but just had the misfortune to run into a very smart one in Hush Writer. He covered some ground there early. Blenheim Palace is a likely type but the gap in the market is too big.

Dothraki was a bit disappointing at his first Australian campaign but trainer Paul Preusker is resuming him over a shorter trip here which is an interesting pointer. His recent jumpout win at Horsham was good and this is a very weak race.

Market Stryke led all the way to win in emphatic style last start at this track and having finally broken through, the Simon Miller trained gelding looks well capable of going through his grades. Holly Watson should press forward on him and take all the catching.

Gundagai 8/10 Controversial Miss (5:35pm)
Controversial Miss completely blew the start first up at Albury so forget she went around. Her form last prep was excellent and with a clean getaway here she is more than capable of winning.
