Ballarat 5/4 Teofilo Star (3:10pm)
Teofilo Star is an Irish bred import who has shown very good ability at two of his three Australian starts, and happy to forgive his last run when well beaten at Moonee Valley. Gai sent him back to the trials since and he looked very good beating One More Try, who then ran a terrific race in the Ararat Cup. Suspect Teofilo Star is very smart and this looks winnable.

Miss Balvenie comes to the races hard fit on the back of three jumpouts, the most recent of which was a slick all the way win at Hamilton. A brilliant debut winner in October last year, the Tom Dabernig trained filly looks to have come back even better and can get the win here first up.
