Racing Tips – Sunday Best Bets for Ballarat and Launceston

Victoria’s premier meeting is at Ballarat while on the other side of Bass Strait at Launceston it is Oaks Day.

Best Bet

9. Sassy Boom
Launceston R5 (5:55pm)

Sassy Boom was sent out favourite in the Magic Millions 2YO race at Ballarat, and while she ran down the track there, happy to forgive that on a heavy track. She has jumped out well ahead of this race, the Tassie Magic Millions race, with some very well performed two year olds. Expect her to sit midfield and be strong through the line.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

7. Hussy Pie
Ballarat R3 (2:30pm)

Hussy Pie produced a much improved effort last start at Warrnambool, taking up the running but just getting collared late by a couple of impressive debutants. This is a very thin race and she has a race fitness edge over key rivals. No star, but well placed here.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

11. Jackrabbit Jimmy
Ballarat R4 (3:00pm)

Jackrabbit Jimmy showed nice ability on debut at the Bool, showing good speed to lead early before being run down by a short priced favourite. They ran faster time than the BM64 on the same program, so there was good merit to the performance. Back to her home track, from an inside draw, she should be able to lead for a long way.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

3. Always Hapi
Ballarat R8 (5:35pm)

Always Hapi has been very consistent this prep and consequently looks well over the odds. The gelding ran into the talented Attrition last start and placed at Sandown before that. Strong play on a 1 x 3 basis.

Recommended Price: $10/3.30
Confidence Level: 3/5
