Racing Tips – Sunday Best Bets for Ballarat and Bairnsdale

Racing heads to Ballarat Racecourse on Sunday where our first tip of the day is a well related filly from the Tony and Calvin McEvoy stable. At Bairnsdale the Cup is the highlight.

Best Bet

3. Bullfinch
Bairnsdale R7 (4.25pm)

Bullfinch was arguably a good thing beaten in the Echuca Cup and looks great value in the Bairnsdale version. The gelding was held up at a critical stage from the 300m to 200m and lost all momentum, but was still beaten under a length. That was his third run for new trainer Reece Goodwin and he should only be better suited out to a mile here.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

14. Rock Pop
Ballarat R1 (1.25pm)

Rock Pop is a full sister to yesterday’s Group 1 winner Veight and it looks like she has some of the family ability is anything to go by. She won her most recent jumpout at Terang in very good style beating a filly with a race experience edge. The filly draws to get an ideal run from barrier four.

Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 4/5

5. Kathy's Beau
Ballarat R7 (4.50pm)

Kathy’s Beau will enjoy a big class drop here. The gelding ran in a $75K country challenge heat last start and was far from disgraced in finishing fifth. There is far less depth to this race and the blinkers go on for the first time. On his home track he should take plenty of beating.

Recommended Price: $4.80
Confidence Level: 4/5
