Basquiat showed plenty on debut at Warwick Farm at the end of March, finishing second to North Star Lass. That form looks strong and he has been back to the trials again since. Jmac rides for Waller so there is plenty to like.

Deepstrike is bred to be a genuine stayer but he has a good turn of foot as shown by winning his last two starts at Sandown and Caulfield. Wet ground is new for him but again, his pedigree suggests he should swim. Kalapour is clearly the one to beat but the value looks to lie with Deepstrike.

Cirrina was disappointing last start but she gets a great opportunity here. Most of the field are resuming and she maps to go forward and get a soft lead. With a light weight after the claim, she looks really well placed if she can recapture that best form.

Zorro’s Dream is made for the 1000m trip at Sandown Hillside. A get back sprinter with a great turn of foot on his day, he should get every chance sitting off what looks to be a genuine tempo.

Morphettville 7/10 Glint of Hope (4:02pm)
There was nothing between Glint of Hope and My Whisper two starts back at Sandown and Glint of Hope gets a 4.5Kg weight swing into this race. My Whisper was certainly impressive winning last time at this track, while Glint of Hope didn’t have much luck at Caulfield. There is no way that there should be as much between the pair in the betting.
