Racing Tips – Saturday Best Bets for Flemington, Murray Bridge and Sunshine Coast

Le Don De Vie - Expert Horse Racing Tips

Expect good to soft ground at Flemington and Murray Bridge, while the forecast is for torrential rain at the Sunshine Coast.

Best Bet

9. Le Don De Vie
Sunshine Coast R6 (4:02pm)

Le Don De Vie gets on to his preferred wet ground for only the second time since last year’s dominant Warrnambool Cup win. The Maher/Eustace trained import was terrific winning first up at Flemington before not much went right in the Q22. He’s drawn wide but Nash Rawiller takes over and the gelding is effective ridden forward or back.

Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

4. Zou Sensation
Flemington R2 (12:25pm)

Zou Sensation comes back to his home track off a terrific win on debut at Murray Bridge. This naturally is tougher but that looked a decent race and he should only be improved for the experience. The straight should be no hindrance given he is trained on the track.

Recommended Price: $5.50
Confidence Level: 3/5

3. Bea Tempted
Murray Bridge R3 (12:37pm)

Loved the way that Bea Tempted hit the line first up at Flemington over 1400m. She is much better suited out to this trip and her only start at 1800m at this track resulted in a big win. She has won three from five second up and the Paddy Payne stable is flying at present.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

3. Magnaspin
Flemington R4 (1:35pm)

Suspect the 1400m race run here a fortnight ago is the key form reference for this and clearly the horse to be on out of that was Magnaspin. The Corstens trained colt was a good thing beaten there after being severely held up in the straight and he should have no problems with the mile.

Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

5. Looks Like Elvis
Flemington R8 (4:10pm)

It isn’t often you find yourself tipping seven year olds at start 57 in a a handicap, but Looks Like Elvis is a special case. His Melbourne form is just remarkable, most recently his superb win at Flemington two starts ago after being held up for much of the straight and blowing the start. Back at Randwick last start, he did enough to suggest he will be awfully hard to beat here.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

4. Arran Bay
Flemington R9 (4:40pm)

Arran Bay was given no hope last week against a similar field when dragged back to last and caught four or five wide for much of the race. A more favourable draw here – and a change of rider – should see him get a much better run in transit and there looks to be far too much between him and Cardinal Gem in the market based off that last race.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

2. Niccanova
Sunshine Coast R8 (5:20pm)

Expect we will be looking at very heavy ground by this time of day and that will play into the hands of Niccanova. Forget his Stradbroke run last start, his prior form was good enough for this and his record on heavy ground (5:2-2-0) brings him right into this race.

Recommended Price: $9.00/3.00
Confidence Level: 3/5
