Racing Tips – Saturday Best Bets for Flemington and Rosehill

Flemington

Betseeker has you covered for free expert horse racing tips and best bets at Flemington and Rosehill.

Group racing returns to Sydney this weekend with the running of the Missile Stakes, while at Flemington, a ten-race card is highlighted by the Aurie’s Star Handicap.

Best Bet

4. So United
Rosehill R3 (12.40pm)

So United was incredibly brave last start over this track and trip, fighting back gamely after being headed by Kirkeby, only going down in the end by the narrowest of margins with a big gap back to third. Aristonous has been installed as a short priced favourite here, it will get back in the run, So United should make his own luck again and if he shows the same fight as last start, will take a lot of getting past.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

6. Jean Valjean
Flemington R1 (11.50am)

Jean Valjean comes across from Adelaide and with his ability to come from behind over short course trips he looks hard to beat here. The Clarken/O’Shea trained gelding was a super winner first up at Morphettville and only goes up to BM70 level here. Expect Ben Price to position him back of midfield and sprint hard late.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

9. Imminance
Flemington R3 (12.55pm)

Imminance looks over the odds here. The Impending filly had some good form as an early two year old, finishing second twice behind The Instructor and Fistsoffury, but it wasn’t until Bendigo last start that she broke her maiden, doing it in some style coming from last. This is tougher, but she is capable of measuring up.

Recommended Price: $9.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

2. Queen Air
Flemington R4 (1.30pm)

Class can prevail with Queen Air. The mare has long shaped as a group horse in the making – she placed in the VRC Oaks – and she showed plenty last campaign, albeit concluding it with a disappointing run. However, she has jumped out very well at Casterton in the lead up to this. She’s proven capable from either forward or back so Beau Mertens has options.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

1. Golden Mile
Rosehill R8 (3.40pm)

Think class can prevail here with Golden Mile. Last year’s Caulfield Guineas winner ran second to Mariamia in the equivalent autumn race, the Expressway, and this shapes as an easier affair. His trials have been on point and from barrier two James McDonald will give him every chance.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

3. Najem Suhail
Flemington R10 (5.05pm)

Najem Suhail might be able to get the better of Benedetta first up. Make no mistake, Benedetta is the better long term prospect but Najem Suhail has the early speed to find the front here and will take a lot of running down. His first up win suggested he has come back a better horse this time in.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
