Racing Tips – Saturday Best Bets for Caulfield, Morphettville and Randwick

Sirileo Miss - Expert Horse Racing Tips

Caulfield and Morphettville should be good while Randwick remains heavy. Here are our Saturday racing tips.

Best Bet

Caulfield 2/1 Sirileo Miss (12:45pm)

Sirileo Miss is a deserved odds on favourite. She a group level mare against very ordinary opposition, at set weights. She showed with a dead heat win last start at Bendigo that she is going as well as ever, and she has the speed to overcome the wide draw. Looks a mile too good and a worthy play even at short odds.

Recommended Price: $1.80
Confidence Level: 5/5

More Racing Tips

Randwick 1/1 Command Approved (11:20am)

Command Approved is a typical Tulloch Lodge two year old product with plenty of early speed. From barrier 11 he should still be able to find the front and he will have no problem getting through the heavy going.

Recommended Price: $3.80
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Caulfield 5/2 Arcaded (2:40pm)

This is the easiest race Arcaded has contested for some time and she appears to be going very well based on her last start third placing in group company at Randwick. Damien Oliver should position her back of midfield and be strong late.

Recommended Price: $4.60
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Randwick 8/5 Le Chevalee (3:40pm)

Diamil is a smart galloper but he will need to be in order to beat Le Chevalee, who looks the clear value here. She was terrific first up before not being far away in a close finish at Bendigo last time. Scratched from a firm track at Caulfield, she has won three of five on heavy ground.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Caulfield 8/1 So Si Bon (4:35pm)

Old So Si Bon isn’t known for being the punters pal but he has an excellent record in this race – he is going for his third straight win. His first up run at Bendigo was very good under a big weight, and under set weight conditions he should be awfully hard to beat again.

Recommended Price: $4.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

Randwick 10/5 Nikau Spur (4:55pm)

Loved the way that Nikau Spur hit the line at his first Sydney run. The Maher/Eustace trained gelding should only have improved from that run and he looks very good value in a race where the favourite, Francesco Guardi, could be vulnerable first up.

Recommended Price: $4.80
Confidence Level: 3/5

Morphettville 9/9 Feuermond (5:25pm)

Feuermond desperately unlucky first up. The Lindsey Smith trained five year old did an excellent job to get as close as he did under the circumstances. His racing pattern can make life hard but the wide draw won’t hurt and the outside will likely be the right spot by this time of day.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4/5
