Dupenny was very unlucky when narrowly defeated by stablemate Smart Roostar first up. While Smart Roostar was getting the gun run, Dupenny was caught wide throughout. Smart Roostar has come out and won again since, so the form looks strong. From barrier two Dupenny should get a much better run here.

Howling Victory did more dodging and weaving than Muhummad Ali last start at Wagga. With a clear run I think the filly would have won and hopefully the apprentice learns the lesson of what happened last time, and gets her to the outside. If she can do that, she should run over them late.

Last Ditch Effort looks the winner here. The Mitch Beer trained filly led until the last stride on debut at Wagga, just getting collared in the last stride. Coming back slightly in trip will do no harm, from barrier two she should lead and win.

Shubick looks a very worth favourite in the last. The lightly raced five year old is building a good record, having won well two starts back before running a close second behind odds on favourite Jumeirah Beach last time at Mudgee. This looks easier and he can win again.
