Racing Tips – Monday Best Bets for Casterton

Casterton - Horse Racing Tips

Racing on Monday is at Casterton, where the meeting has been transferred after originally being scheduled for Hamilton.

Best Bet

2. Bon's Your Back
Casterton R3 (2:30pm)

Bon’s Your Back was a moral beaten on debut when he was severely checked in the straight and lucky not to fall. His effort then, to pick himself up and run second was terrific. Expect Harry Coffey to sit a pair or two closer and he can make up for that unlucky run by winning here.

Recommended Price: $2.50
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

7. Mulga Lil
Casterton R2 (2:00pm)

Mulga Lil will certainly appreciate the meeting transfer to Casterton as she has won two of her three starts here. Expect her to go straight to the front here as she did when winning at this track back at September, and to prove hard to run down.

Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 4/5

5. Day In Heaven
Casterton R5 (3:30pm)

Day In Heaven made a very good debut at Geelong recently when finishing fourth. The Matt Laurie trained gelding should have improved for the run and gets the services of the very much in-form Dean Yendall.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

1. Crystal Vain
Casterton R7 (4:30pm)

Crystal Vain looks over the odds here. The gelding ran fourth first up at Pakenham on the synthetic but that was over 1200m – and I like him coming back 100m in trip here. Jarrod Fry shouldn’t be far away in the run and the Liam Howley stable is in good form of late.

Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
