Zambezi Khan was a strong winner in the same grade last time at Flemington and while she does pay the price at the weights, if anything this race looks to be slightly easier. Tom Prebble takes 3Kg off and she should relish getting out to 2040m. Looks an ideal contest for her to go back to back in.

Galilaeus is a deserved favourite here but the value lies with Karburan. I don’t think there is much between them and one thing we know is that Karburan will be out front making his own luck while Galilaeus will need some breaks to go his way. I know which one I’d prefer to be on at the relative prices.

Oak Hill resumes for the first time as a four year old and certainly shapes as a horse capable of going on with it against older horses given the strength of some of his wins and the time he ran. Finds a strong enough contest here first up but has won here before and flies fresh.

Like Schwarz to upset the favourite Southport Tycoon in the Australia Stakes. Those two are the clear class in the race but Schwarz can hopefully find himself a little closer in the run. His recent trial at Randwick was terrific, just needs some luck from barrier nine to be winning.
