Flamin’ Romans looks primed to win off the back of very consistent form around this (2040m) distance range. The Ciaron Maher trained half brother to Group 1 winner Smokin’ Romans comes off a last start second where he beat home the favourite here, Quantum Cat. He should get the right run here on speed.

Flying Season was a beaten favourite last time at Wagga after being slowly away then ridden hard to get the lead, just weakening late. His prior run at Sandown was excellent. The entire has plenty of speed so with a cleaner getaway he can find the front over the 955m here and take plenty of running down.
