Racing Tips – Friday Best Bets for Terang, Penola and Moonee Valley

Expert Horse Racing Tips

Jumps racing is back! Betseeker has you covered this jumping season with tips for every race, starting with three at Terang in Victoria’s Western District. There are also racing tips from Penola and Moonee Valley.

Best Bet

Terang 2/2 Heberite (1:20pm)

Heberite is a complete moral who just needs to get around safely to win. The ex-Kiwi races in the same colours and is by the same sire as Ablaze, he may not get to that level but he does not need to in order to win here easily. Multi him into everything.

Recommended Price: $1.40
Confidence Level: 5/5

More Racing Tips

Terang 1/1 Serenade The Stars (12:40pm)

Plenty of unknowns in the first race but Serenade The Stars is a genuine stayer who has shown some nice form in his trials. Into Rio has to be considered with the booking of Pateman (FYI blindly backing every Pateman ride has been a profitable strategy three of the last five seasons) but he has been well found in the market as a result.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Terang 3/1 Britannicus (2:00pm)

Britannicus is a very smart firm track jumper who is nowhere near as effective on soft ground – unsurprisingly he was a winner at Oakbank last year and it is a real shame he won’t be able to get back there. Nonetheless, he should be able to handle this field as long as the track gets to a 6 or better, which is likely. White Heath is the only danger.

Recommended Price: $1.90
Confidence Level: 4/5

Penola 4/1 Raging Monkey (3:40pm)

Raging Monkey broke his maiden prior to a spell and has jumped out very encouragingly for this, winning his most recent hitout and in the process beating a horse called As I Please, which is more than handy. From the inside draw Raging Monkey should find the lead and prove hard to run down.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

Moonee Valley 3/4 Major Artie (7:15pm)

Major Artie was a little disappointing first up in Sydney but the switch down to Melbourne points towards a much improved run second up. The Waterhouse/Bott trained four year old should go straight to the front and that is always a big advantage at this track.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

Moonee Valley 7/2 War Eternal (9:15pm)

Given Bjorn Baker’s success in Melbourne of late the fact he elected to bypass the Rosehill Guineas in favour of this race is particularly noteworthy. War Eternal comes off a last start fourth in the Randwick Guineas and that form should hold up well down here.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
