Speed Bump gets her chance in a race that has been significantly weakened by scratchings. The Luke Oliver trained mare put the writing on the wall with a fast finishing third first up at Pakenham behind the talented South Parade. Dan Stackhouse should sit her closer in the run here and be too strong late. The five year old was a second up winner when last in work.

He’s On Form looks set to peak third up getting out to 2000m. The Patrick Payne trained gelding put the writing on the wall with a fast finishing third placing at Wangaratta last start and Payne has kept his fitness up to the mark with a trial at Geelong earlier this week. This isn’t strong.

Rebel Racer is having his first start for new trainers Amy and Ash Yardi. The gelding had been racing well enough for Mark and Levi Kavanagh, but he does seem the kind of horse who could easily benefit from a change of scenery. Getting out to 2500m suits, and the booking of Jamie Kah is a strong pointer to a good run.

Freedom Escape has been knocking on the door to win a race and he gets his chance here. The Paul Preusker trained gelding has four placings from five starts this prep, including three seconds. Both of his runs at this track have been terrific as well. Dean Yendall should position him back of midfield and run over them late.

True Nobility gave his backers a few heart palpitations last start but when jockey Dean Yendall finally got clear running, he savaged the line and ran away from his rivals like a good horse. This is tougher, but he is on an upward spiral and draws to get the run of the race.
