Racing Tips – Friday Best Bets for Goulburn and Sale

Goulburn will be very heavy, Sale soft.

Best Bet

2. Don Luigi
Goulburn R6 (3:05pm)

Goulburn + wet track = Don Luigi. Kerry Parker’s gelding has a real affinity for wet ground, and especially wet ground at Goulburn. The four year old has had four starts here for two wins, both on heavy tracks. Not beaten far in his last three at Randwick in Midway handicaps, this is a big drop in class and he should be far too good.

Recommended Price: $2.30
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

1. Master Joe
Goulburn R1 (1:30pm)

Master Joe did a lot right here on debut three weeks ago, just running into one better on the day with a huge margin to third. He should be improved for the run and appears to have no trouble handling wet ground. Look for Nick Heywood to press forward and take all the catching.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

1. I'm Innocent
Sale R3 (2:00pm)

I’m Innocent was a moral beaten last start at Pakenham and with even luck should be awfully hard to beat here. The Rachel Cunningham trained gelding was held up for much of the home straight and powered through the line when finally clear. He has to bring that form to the turf from the synthetic but suspect he can.

Recommended Price: $3.20
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

4. Denirra
Sale R4 (2:30pm)

It’s no surprise that a 4YO+ maiden run in July is a weak affair and suspect Denirra has been set for this first up. The Luke Oliver trained mare has run some really nice races and comes here first up off the back of a solid jumpout win. From barrier four, the perennially underrated Jamie Mott will give her every chance.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
