Samoa were the most disappointing team in the opening week after being hammered by England and now they must put away a Greece team that won the hearts of all fans with a stoic showing against France.
Best Bet
Samoa’s performance against England was about as gutless, as weak and as pathetic as you are ever likely to see. Samoa started favourites – and were favourites to make the World Cup final – before the team full of NRL stars including a backline made up of a majority of Panthers lost 60-6 by essentially just giving up.
Once again it appears as if there is disharmony in the team. Players are not happy Matt Parish is still coach and it is easy to understand why.
This Samoa team should completely outclass Greece but it would take one game punter to lay 50 points plus to be with Samoa in a game they will expect to win. Expectations and reality rarely align with Samoa.
Greece were incredibly plucky against France. They are completely outmatched here but they do have Origin player Nathan Brown and the very talented Billy Magoulias. Most of the Greek team play lower grades in Australia so are unlikely to just go to water.
This line looks way too big.
Same Game Multi
To’o had doubles in three of his last four NRL games this season including the Grand Final.
Luai scored at a rate of over one every three games this year which projects well against a minnow.
Crichton has 41 tries in 76 games and will be very difficult to contain.
Value Bet
Johnny Mitsias was outstanding against France and now gets a plus-matchup where he is marked by the very ordinary Ken Sio, who has only just been called into the Samoa squad. Even on a 50-point dog he is value to score.
