Starting what will be a new annual tradition, the one-and-only Nick Tedeschi has put together his highly subjective ranking of every player in the NRL.
Every player who saw first grade action will be ranked from best to worst. Rankings will be based not only on their 2022 but their career-to-date in the context of where they currently are in the game. Individual skill, team contribution and overall success will all factor in. Potential will not, at least not hype.
Discretion will be used to factor in players misused by coaches or players stuck on bad teams while players who ride the coattails of success (hello Kenny Bromwich!) will be downgraded.
Player pay packets also come into consideration. There are obviously paper thin margins between players and the list is entirely subjective (though 100% accurate).
