NRL Tips – Sea Eagles v Raiders – Round 4 2022

NRL Betting Tips

Canberra look outstanding value against a Manly team that has failed to cover any of their opening three games

Best Bet

Canberra +6.5 ($1.90)

It was hard not to be incredibly impressed with Canberra last week. Down 22-0, Canberra dug deep to overcome the Titans 24-22 in one of the club’s most famous wins. The confidence that win will bring is immense and there is no doubting the form of the likes of Jack Wighton. Rookie half Brad Schneider should not be underestimated either, being part of two wins from two starts this year.

While this is a Manly home game, it is being played in Mudgee so there is absolutely no home field advantage with the Sea Eagles here. They have covered just 3 of 13 away from Brookvale and have ranked last in scoring through three weeks.

This is a big spot for the Raiders. Canberra have covered 13 of 17 as a road underdog of more than 4.5 and cover at 60% away from Canberra Stadium over the last four seasons. Underdogs of 6.5 or more also cover at 60% of a cover.

The Raiders getting 6.5 or more is one of the best bets of Round 4.

Same Game Multi

Reuben Garrick Try/Jack Wighton Try ($5.00)

Reuben Garrick has scored 24 tries in his last 30 games and Jordan Rapana is not the most reliable defensive wing.

Wighton has scored six tries in his last 10 against Manly and in the last three Canberra have beaten the Sea Eagles he has scored.

Value Bet

Matthew Timoko Anytime Try ($4.33)

Young Raiders centre Matthew Timoko scored his first NRL try in the second half against the Titans last week before quickly scoring his second. The Sea Eagles have conceded six tries down their right-edge defence which makes this an excellent matchup for the hard-running Timoko.
