The Titans start the post-Justin Holbrook era under interim coach Jim Lenihan with a local derby against the table-topping Brisbane Broncos in a game that should see plenty of points.
Best Bet
It has been a huge week for the Titans with the club pulling off one of the quietest and least expected coaching executions in a long time when sacking Justin Holbrook and announcing that Des Hasler would take over the club in 2024.
While Hasler will work to improve the Titans’ lacklustre defence, it is not expected to improve anytime soon and that puts the over in very good stead against Top 4 attacking team Brisbane.
These two have played some high scoring games of late with four of the last five going over the total and three of the last four hitting 59-plus points.
The over is 12-8 when Brisbane are favoured at Suncorp and 8-5 when they are favoured by more than a converted try. The over is also 7-4 when the Titans play at Suncorp and 16-9 when they are an underdog of at least eight points.
The high total in this one is not high enough.
Same Game Multi
Selwyn Cobbo has scored in both of his matches against the Gold Coast.
Corey Oates has six tries in his last eight games against the Titans.
Herbie Farnworth has 18 tries in his last 28 games.
Alofiana Khan-Pereira has 13 tries in his 12 first grade games and has yet to go two straight games without crossing.
Value Bet
Jordan Riki is in the throes of his best tryscoring season to date with five tries in his 16 games. The Titans look vulnerable on their edges and concede plenty of points to hard runners so fancy Riki is overs this week.
