There are three interesting NFL games scheduled for Saturday in the United States, that will be broadcast on Sunday in Australia.
Colts @ Vikings
Minnesota are perhaps the most fraudulent 10-3 team in the history of the league but they are capable of covering against the hapless Colts.
Despite their 10-3 record the Vikings have a negative point differential, with their record propped up by a remarkable 9-0 record in one score games.
Despite that, they should be able to cover against the Colts. While Indianapolis are coming off a bye, their season is effectively over. They are coming off a dismal performance that saw Dallas put up 54 points when these teams last met.
The Vikings need to improve on defence – they have given up more than 400 yards in five straight games – but the Colts offence isn’t playing well enough to exploit their deficiencies.
Indianapolis are an horrific 2-5 against the number on the road this season.
Jefferson leads the league in receiving yards and should be in for another massive game against the Colts poor secondary. The LSU product has found the end zone in four of his last six games.
Ravens @ Browns
Baltimore will be missing quarterback Lamar Jackson once again but they can find a way against a Browns team that has been struggling of late.
Any thoughts that the addition of Deshaun Watson would be a panacea for the Cleveland offence have been dashed as the ex-Texan has looked decidedly rusty in both starts back from a league imposed suspension.
Watson has completed less than 60% of his passes for 407 yards, 1 TD and 2 picks in two games. The Browns will try and lean on their running game, but the Ravens defence has conceded 65 or fewer rushing yards in five of their last six games.
This game has all the hallmarks of a tight slog, and the Ravens look a terrific bet getting points against an opponent they have beaten in five of their last six games.
Tyler Huntley is no Lamar Jackson but the Ravens backup quarterback is very capable with his legs. With three rushing touchdowns from his last five starts, Huntley looks nice value to score once again.
Dolphins @ Bills
This game is set to be played in brutal conditions and this is bad news for Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
The Alabama product is coming off his worst game of the season against Chargers and his record in Buffalo means that he is unlikely to bounce back here.
Tua has led the Dolphins into Buffalo twice for 56-26 and 26-11 losses, throwing for 1 TD and 4 picks in those games.
Buffalo’s pass rush has been dominant even without Von Miller and they should be able to dominate this game.
The Bills offence continues to get the job done. Josh Allen and company are experienced in these conditions and will do enough to cover the line.
Davis has six touchdowns from twelve games this season and the big bodied receiver should get his chance in conditions that he has thrived in.
