Best Bet

Las Vegas +3.5
Line

The Raiders are the most undervalued team coming into the 2023 NFL season and they are in a huge spot in Week 1.

They have upgraded the quarterback position by signing Jimmy Garropolo and he should be able to unlock a quality offense that includes Davante Adams.

Not that the Raiders will need a lot of points – Denver had a completely incompetent offense last year and Russell Wilson remains the QB. A lot of faith is being shown in Sean Payton but this Denver offense will take time.

There are some great situational systems that demand the Raiders be bet. Underdogs that won 4-6 games the year prior are 68-34-2 ATS in Week 1. Road underdogs off a non-playoff season are 75-47-4 ATS. Division underdogs of 6.5 or less are 18-7-1 ATS since 2013.

The Raiders have covered 9 of the last 10 against the Broncos and can continue that dominance in Denver to open the season.

Next Best

Indianapolis +4.5
Line

Jacksonville are hugely overrated this season and while Indianapolis are a rebuild team, they are a super bet as a big home underdog in Week 1.

The Colts will start rookie Anthony Richardson at quarterback and are without question a team short on talent but the line is just too big with this game being played in Indianapolis.

Home division underdogs are 21-4 ATS in Week 1 since 2009. And underdogs who won between 4-6 games the year prior in Week 1 are 68-34-2 against the number.

The underdog has covered six of the last seven in this contest and confidence is high the dog will strike again.

Best Multi

Cardinals +7/Panthers +3.5/Rams +5.5
Multi

Running a confident system multi to hit in Week 1. Underdogs of 6.5 or more in Week 1 are 47-28 ATS so that brings the Cardinals plus in. Road underdogs off a non-playoff season are 75-47-4 ATS making Carolina and the LA Rams strong plays.
