The inaugural Black Friday game is a battle between AFC East rivals with the Jets hosting the Dolphins with New York finally moving on from Zach Wilson.
Best Bet
Robert Saleh made a last ditch – and long overdue – salve at saving his job by benching Zach Wilson in favour of little-known journeyman backup Tim Boyle.
Boyle has played in 18 games with three starts with three touchdowns and nine picks.
The Jets and the big line at home though is the play here.
Don’t fear Boyle. Backup QBs in their first start with a team are 67-51-2 ATS with the market swinging too far the other way.
There are plenty of other angles pushing the Jets here too. Dogs with an total of 42 or below cover at 60% and teams off a loss of 20 or more cover at the same rate.
This is a big play-against spot for the Dolphins too. Road teams averaging 30.5 ppg from week 10 onwards are 51-72-2 ATS while teams averaging over 6 yards per play this late in the season cover at just 44%.
Steam into the Jets and bet on the defence to hold.
Same Game Multi
Tyreek Hill has scored in all but two games this year and on record-setting pace, expecting him to have another huge outing.
Betting on Garrett Wilson to get the squeaky wheel treatment here with the new QB. Expecting the Jets to centre their offensive game plan around their star wideout.
Value Bet
Xavier Gipson has emerged as the clearcut WR3 with WR2 upside for the Jets. He has snap counts of 58%, 68% and 79% the last three weeks with seven targets in that timespan. He is nice value to score.
