NFL Tips – Atlanta Falcons @ Philadelphia Eagles – Week 3 2024

The Eagles come back from Sao Paulo looking for back to back wins when the Falcons come to visit on Monday Night Football.

Best Bet

Eagles -5.5
Line

Atlanta struggled enormously in Week 1 and look up against it when they come to Philadelphia.

Kirk Cousins looked every one of his 35 years, but the offensive line was terrible, especially in pass protection.

There were also some questionable game planning decisions – the Falcons didn’t run a single play action pass – and enormous struggles on third down, only converting two of nine.

To their credit, the Falcons didn’t allow a single touchdown, as it was death by field goal in their 18-10 loss. That said, the Steelers only scored the one touchdown in Week 2 against the Broncos.

Offensively, the Eagles are a much different proposition particularly with their running game, which has finally opened up Saquon Barkley to show what he is capable of.

The former number two overall pick ran for 109 yards and two scores on debt for his new team and he should be the focal point of their offence in this game, particularly with AJ Brown out.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has a great record against the number at home, going 17-9-1 against the line and a remarkable 8-1-1 in primetime games.

Laying less than a touchdown, the Eagles are an excellent bet.

Same Game Multi

Eagles -5.5, Barkley Over 75.5 Rushing Yards, Goedert Over 45.5 Receiving Yards

The Eagles showed they were happy to lean on Saquon Barkley last week and there is no reason they will get away from that at home.

With top receiver Brown out, look for the Eagles to get tight end Dallas Goedert more involved in the receiving game.

Value Bet

Saquon Barkley
First Touchdown

Barkley ran two in last week and while the Eagles have previously leaned heavily on Jalen Hurts in these situations, it makes sense for them to take some wear and tear off their quarterback and utilize their star running back more.
