Australia have taken home the urn but England enter the final Test with all the momentum.

England are absolutely more motivated heading into the fifth Test with the urn returning to Australia and the English team zealous in their belief of Bazball.

Despite trailing 2-1, they truly believe they have been the better team this series. While that is up for debate, what isn’t is that England are the team with all the momentum. They won the third Test and then dominated Old Trafford before rain stole victory from them.

Australia are looking like a tired team and there are likely to be significant changes, particularly to the bowling attack.

England have an excellent record at The Oval with four wins in their last five Tests there.

Against Australia, England have lost just one of the most recent five Tests at The Oval. Spin was key in that Test and it is clear England have a notable edge on that front.

Khawaja & Brook 30+ Runs / Woakes over 2.5 wickets

Khawaja showed a liking for The Oval during the World Test Championship final.

Brook has scored 32-plus in five of his last seven innings.

Woakes has three-plus wickets in his three completed innings since earning a recall.

Value Bets

Mitch Marsh
Most Australian Runs - 1st Innings

Marsh has topped Australia’s scoring in both first innings since being recalled. He posted a ton in his first dig back and scored 51 and an unbeaten 31 last Test. He is fresh and in-form and looks a great bet.

Chris Woakes
Most England Wickets - 1st Innings

Woakes was sensational during his last Test at The Oval with match figures of 7-138. He posted a five-for to open the Old Trafford Test and had three wickets in each innings at Leeds. Excellent value to lead England’s wicket-taking.
