Brownlow Tips – AFL Round 12 Brownlow Predictor

We have a new favourite for the Brownlow with the top-three breaking away from the rest of the field, but a $17 shot could be in the mix very soon.

Brownlow Leaderboard

Best Bet

Nick Daicos (Coll)
Brownlow Medal Winner 2024

We have a new favourite for the Brownlow and what Nick Daicos is doing simply cannot go unnoticed.

Nearly bucked the contested ball trend last year and if he didn’t miss the last month of football he would have been a Brownlow Medallist. Now that we see Daicos as a full-time midfielder, what he’s doing fits the Brownlow profile perfectly with contested possessions and clearances.

Since Collingwood’s Round 5 bye, we have Daicos polling 15.75 votes in the last seven rounds, and off the back of 28 votes last year where he led in the count in votes per game, he’s now the obvious choice alongside Patrick Cripps.

Lay

Zach Merrett (Ess)
Brownlow Medal Winner 2024

Line-ball as to whether Zach Merrett polls in Essendon’s loss to the Suns, and I’m very surprised to see the Bomber still fourth line of betting at the $7.50 price tag.

Merrett has now fallen in seventh place on our leaderboard, polling just 1.5 votes over the last month. Still within striking range of the leading pack on 13.75 votes, but this price doesn’t give a true reflection based off his form over the last month.

Value Bet

Noah Anderson (GC)
Brownlow Medal Winner 2024

There’s a fair discrepancy between Anderson’s best and worst, but his best seems to correlate with wins for the Suns.

Anderson averages 32.3 disposals, 13.4 contested possessions, 7.6 clearances and 1.4 goals across Gold Coast’s seven wins this season, and as a result he’s in 6th place on our leaderboard with 14.25 votes.

We have Anderson polling 11.75 votes across Anderson’s last five wins, which includes not polling in their Round 9 win over North Melbourne. The Suns have another winnable game before the bye when they face the Saints – if Gold Coast do win and Anderson produces a game similar to his output in the Suns wins this season, he will be in our top-five next week.
