Boston -4
Line

A convincing win from the Celtics in Game 3 despite being challenged on multiple occasions in the third quarter; their versatility and offensive spread appears too much for the Warriors.

The strength and size across the board for Boston appears a real issue for Golden State, with the likes of Brown and Tatum in the shooting guard and small forward spots providing the Celtics a significant strength and size advantage against the likes of Curry, Thompson, Poole, and even Andrew Wiggins.

The concern for the Warriors is that Curry and Thompson combined for 56 in Game 3 and still lost by double digits. Wiggins as their third string still had a reasonable game with 18 points, but their x-factor Jordan Poole is a defensive liability this series.

The offensive spread the Celtics can generate without giving up anything defensively puts them in prime position for Game 4 at home, with all of their wins this post-season being by 4 or more points outside of Game 1 in the first round against the Nets. There are simply too many options for the Celtics along with their ability to defend, and the home side should cover the 4 point line.

Value Bet

Al Horford 4+
Assists

Coming off a 6-assist game in Game 3, Al Horford has always been a great passer and decision maker as a big, and provides great value to generate 4 assists in Game 4.

From Horford’s last 14 games within this post-season, the veteran averages 3.93 assists per game which includes producing 5+ assists ($3.24) on six occasions.

Within those 14 games, Horford has had 3+ assists in 13 of them, which suggests he’ll no doubt be around that mark again in Game 4.

After going off in Game 1, even if the Warriors trap the likes of Brown and Tatum coming off the on-ball screen, Horford will not be left alone on the pop to shoot the ball with weakside defensive rotation, but the big man’s ability to make the extra pass or correct offensive decision is excellent making him one of the best passing bigs over the last 15 years.

Same Game Multi

Jayson Tatum 25+ Points / Jaylen Brown 6+ Rebounds / Marcus Smart 5+ Assists

A quiet Game 1 from Jayson Tatum, but he averages 26.4 points per game from his last 19 games all within the post-season, recording 25+ in 13 of those games.

Jaylen Brown’s rebounding has been outstanding all post-season, and he averages 7.3 rebounds per game in the NBA Finals recording 6+ in 10 of his last 11 games including all three Finals.

Recording 5 assists in Game 3, Marcus Smart has produced 5+ assists in seven of his last 10 games. Expect the Point Guard to play 38+ minutes in Game 4, recording 5+ dimes once again.
