Only four games and three teams playing on a back to back. Not the most exciting games either, with the bottom two teams in the Western Conference facing off.
Best Bet
Houston Rockets @ Dallas Mavericks (11:40pm)
The Houston big man looks to be maturing into his basketball role this season. Now playing in his fourth NBA season, its easy to forget that he is just 22 years old.
Last season he averaged 9.4 RPG but after four games this season Alpy is averaging 12.5 RPG. Clearing this line easily in 3 out of 4 games, the outlier looks to be a miserable night against San Antonio’s alien Victor Wembenyama. I’m happy to forgive that game due to the 7ft 4in opponent making life hell.
Taking on Dallas he should find more rebounds against a much smaller Daniel Gafford and an inexperienced Dereck Lively. Houston are ranked 2nd last this season for FG% and Dallas are not much better at 23rd overall. Sengun currently averages 24 rebound chances per game, that should lead to plenty of rebounds and Sengun should get double digits here.
SGM – Sengun 10+ Rebounds/ Smith 10+ points/ Doncic 8+ assists = $4.00

Phoenix Suns @ L.A Clippers (1:40pm)
James Harden at the start of a new season, you never really know what you’re going to get. Is he in a fat suit trying to get traded or is he locked in and playing elite basketball? Luckily for us, this season it looks like the latter.
The Clippers are making do without Kawhi Leonard who remains out for the foreseeable future. Harden and Ivica Zubac have a great two-man game rolling and now they have a consistent wing shooter in Norman Powell spreading the floor.
Harden has now had 3 games in a row in double figure assists with a healthy average of 11.3APG. His usage rating is through the roof at 33.9. Look for the beard to keep finding teammates and hopefully they can make the shots required.
SGM – Harden Over 9.5 Assists/Powell 15+ Points/ Booker Over 2.5 3 Pointers = $4.00
Value Bet
San Antonio Spurs @ Utah Jazz (12:10pm)
The Utah Jazz have started the season 0-4 with an average losing margin of 17. They have lost Hendricks for the season with a gruesome broken leg and now leading scorer Lauri Markkanen couldn’t get off the physio table at half time due to back spasms. He remains questionable for this game.
The Spurs were expectedly beaten by the OKC Thunder who sit atop the Western Conference remaining undefeated through 4. San Anotonio will look to bounce back here against Utah and if Markkanen misses, I expect them to start this game as favourite.
Utah rank dead last for points scored, FG% and efficiency. Utah have allowed 119PPG whilst only managing to score 102PPG. With no continuity in their line-ups due to injury I see them starting 0-5 for the season.
SGM – Spurs Win/Sochan 15+ Points/ Paul Over 7.5 Assists = $5.50
