James McDonald sticks and he is only third up here so it’s not hard to see him being on an upward trajectory.

Ikasara has had just the one run for a brilliant win over this track and trip back in April. The Waterhouse/Bott camp spelled him since then and he looks to have come back brilliantly if his recent jump outs are anything to go by. Can lead and win.

Bank Maur failed second up on the heavy track at Sandown but he is much better than what he showed there. His first up run was terrific and if he has any luck from the wide draw he can bounce back hard at a track where he is very much suited.

Storm Boy was left a sitting shot in the Run to the Rose after missing the start then being ridden hard to lead. The fact he still hung on to finish was really to his credit. Drawing wide here probably helps him to leave the gates cleanly and if he does so, the phenomenally talented colt can lead all the way.
