Le Parrain has some class about him and should prove very hard to beat here first up. The Ciaron Maher stable though enough of him to run in the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes last prep and he looked the winner until about the 100m mark. He resumes a gelding and has trialled up nicely for this.

Showmanship is an exceptionally talented horse that has won eight of his twelve starts, but being an eight year old has clearly had some issues. He just about should have won this race two years ago and his only run for the John Leek stable, back in December, was outstanding. This is a deep race but he has the class.

Electric Impulse is a seriously talented mare who can lump the 61Kg to victory here. The Henry Dwyer trained four year old has won four of her eight starts and showed with an excellent first up third at Bendigo that she has come back as well as ever. She loves affected ground and is capable of being ridden forward or back.
