Racing Tips – Sunday Best Bets for Werribee

With Melbourne copping plenty of rain on Sunday we can expect ground well into the soft, if not heavy range at Werribee Racecourse.

Best Bet

14. Humming
Werribee R6 (4.25pm)

This filly has long shown nice ability and looks ready to come into her own this prep. Her jumpout last week was terrific, going to the line under a strong hold with plenty to offer. Expect Jordan Childs to press forward on her and take all the catching. Wet ground should hold no fears.

Recommended Price: $3.60
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

7. Herbert Park
Werribee R1 (1.25pm)

Herbert Park has shown plenty of talent at the trials and jumpouts, winning her most recent hit out at Mornington in impressive style. Last time in work she also trialled very well behind Revalene and Licensed, and that form has stood up well. Looks a decent maiden but she is capable of making a winning debut.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

5. Inherently
Werribee R3 (2.35pm)

Inherently made a good debut at Pakenham in what looks to be a very good form race. The Mark and Levi Kavanagh trained three year old showed his inexperience there so should be all the better for the run. Clearly he has the ability if the breaks go his way.

Recommended Price: $7.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

4. Shakib
Werribee R5 (3.50pm)

Ex-Kiwi Shakib produced a sharply improved effort last time at Swan Hill and looks well placed here out to 2700m. The gelding looks like a jumps prospect and the prospect of rain here is well and truly in his favour. Will be tough at the end of the long trip in this one.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3/5
